When you receive your plugs in the post:
Receiving standard plugs
- Between April and September, you can plant your pink into a container, or into the border (if the risk of frost has passed). We do recommend for them to be potted on in a 9cm pot on arrival, which will reduce the stress to the plants and then plant out after 6-8 weeks. The plant will then be stronger and happier when planted into its final position or container.
- If received between September through to March pot into a 9cm/3.5” pot and keep in an unheated, well-ventilated greenhouse until you are ready to plant out (weather permitting).
- When you receive your box of standard plugs and they are dry when they arrive, moisten in a cup of water before potting.
- Plant the plug in a 9cm or 11cm pot and water in.
- Place in a greenhouse or cold frame with good ventilation. Water when needed.
- After 6-8 weeks your young plant will have rooted out in the pot.
Receiving your Garden ready plug or 9cm potted plant
- When you receive your garden ready plugs or 9cm pot plants these can go straight into the ground or garden container in well-drained soil or compost from April to September (weather permitting, and if the risk of frost has passed).
